Job Description
Summary of Position:
The Packhouse Associate will be responsible for harvesting and packaging fresh leafy greens for Revol Greens using innovative greenhouse equipment.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Harvest and pack orders for delivery
Working in multiple areas all related to packaging and harvesting product
Record and document information related to everyday duties and food safety
Prepare and track cumulative harvesting and packing totals
Complete daily operational checklists
Clean work areas and systems including pack-lines, harvest, and other equipment according to GFSI checklist
Communicate and cooperate with coworkers, supervisors, and managers
Follow quality, food safety and service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
Participate in any required company training, including safety and food safety
Any other jobs or activities that may occur during the harvesting and packing processes
Assist and perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Maintain a clean workspace to minimize contamination
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Ability to work in a team environment
Flexibility to work in a variety of areas and tasks, as necessary
Highly organized with attention to detail
Comfortable working with automated equipment
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Supervisory:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities
Work Environment:
Packhouse
The temperatures in the packhouse are between 34-38° F to preserve product quality
PPE must be worn at all times
Physical Requirements:
Occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like.
Occasionally remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
Occasionally moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
Occasionally adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions.
Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
