Associate Director of Biomarker Operations

Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit high-value frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding scientists in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

This role will be the AD Biomarker Operations lead for 1-2 specific programs/molecules, which includes the strategic vision, clinical design and implementation of translational plans. Activities will be centered around collection and analysis of robust human clinical trial data and will have impact on drug development from IND to NDA.

As Associate Director Biomarker Operations, you will:

• Develop and maintain translational and clinical biomarker strategies to support portfolio assets from phase 0 and beyond.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional working groups such as program core teams, bioinformatics teams and safety/scientific review boards.
• Work with internal translational groups, contract research organizations and collaborators to develop and validate assays for clinical use.
• Support the development of biomarker related aspects of the trial design, including assay development, patient sample acquisition, study protocols, lab manuals, clinical study reports, trial site selection, investigator presentations and brochures and other regulatory documents.
• Manage outsourcing to CROs, oversee development of the scope of work, contracting, budgets, and timelines.
• Work with biomarker data scientists to support analysis of biomarker readouts, presenting outputs to internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with an advisory network, form connections with KOLs and the biomarker community.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

• Ph.D is required.
• 2 years of clinical biomarker and/or assay development experience in industry is required.
• Experience and track-record of the development, validation, and clinical implementation of biomarker readouts is required.
• Experience of working with Contract Research Organizations to develop assays and deliver biomarker readouts is required.
• Excellent scientific and business communication skills, strong interpersonal/collaboration skills and planning skills.
• Ability to think critically and creatively and be able to work independently to determine appropriate resources for resolution of problems.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced innovative environment.
