Location: Lake Buena Vista, FL
Contract: 18 months w/potential for hire
Pay Rate: $Up to 58/hr
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (40 Hours) - ONSITE Position
Do you see yourself collaborating with our Engineering team to deliver design drawings in support of the planning and execution of capital and sustainment projects for our innovative attractions?
As a Electrical Designer, you would work closely with our Design & Engineering teams, line of business (LOB) customers, outside vendors, and project management staff to support project specific requirements and create CAD designs, detail drawings, and other supporting documentation. You’d make an impact by being involved in a variety of detail production drawings for electrical wiring diagrams, schematics of electrical systems, mechanical details and assemblies for racks, consoles and control boxes and documentation for our amazing attractions. Basic Qualifications:
- Four (4) or more years of design experience as a Designer or degreed Engineer in a design environment working in a multidiscipline, technical, electrical design team setting.
- Two (2) or more years of college (electrical/mechanical engineering or engineering technology courses) preferably with an Associates or higher-level degree, or equivalent work experience
- AutoCAD electrical (professional training and/or certification)
- Engineering and electrical/mechanical design skills, including manufacturing practices and processes.
- Requires a significant amount of time spent in a sitting position conducting CAD workstation operation.
- Knowledge of materials (metals, composites, plastics), welding, finish processes, ASME standards (Y14 and Y14.5), and engineering documentation skills
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Demonstrated interpersonal, problem solving, analytical, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of management.
- Ability to work on multiple defined projects as well as within a team in a high-paced environment and seek guidance/approval with on-going communication.
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving, analytical, time management, and organization skills.
- Open to quickly learn computer software packages.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- GD&T training and/or certification
- SolidWorks CSWA certification or equivalent professional training or on the job proficiency acceptable
- AutoCAD 2018, Autodesk Certified Professional in AutoCAD for Design & Drafting preferred, equivalent professional training or on the job proficiency acceptable.
- AutoCAD Electrical 2018, professional training preferred, equivalent on the job proficiency acceptable.
- Eplan P2.9, Eplan Certified Engineer preferred, equivalent professional training or on the job proficiency acceptable.
Preferred Qualifications:
It would be nice if you also have:
- 2 years’ experience in a theme park design environment
- Adept at electrical drafting and designing in a 2d and 3D environment
- Knowledgeable in mechanical design
- Reliability centered maintenance experience.
- Eplan experience (professional training and/or certification)
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $45.00 - $58.00 per hour
