Job Description
Duration: 12 months to Start
Location: Olathe, KS
MAJOR DUTIES:
- With minimal supervision, provides advertising communications expertise; serves as day-to-day contact to initiate, develop, produce and deliver advertising jobs; develops, presents, revises advertising plans for approval.
- With minimal supervision, develops advertising campaign themes for approval and then writes copy, ensuring that copy meets style and quality standards.
- Gathers and reviews information on products and market segments from a variety of sources, including customer research, customer testimonials, dealer visits, and farm show visits.
- With minimal supervision, monitors and recommends advertising to effectively reach target customers. Determines media groups for ads to provide consistent messages while maximizing media budgets.
- Helps coordinate, attends and directs photo/film shoots to provide proper visual approaches consistent with the brand image and customer requirements.
Specific Position Requirements:
Role can be remote but onsite preferred. 1st shift
Maximum travel 10-15%. Travel will be domestic for photoshoots.
- Education Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Journalism, communications, advertising or creative writing/English
- Creative advertising, writing ads for digital, print, and other media.
Top Must Haves:
- Speak the language of the various applications of production including print and digital advertising, marketing, photography, illustration, and video production.
- Expertise in Microsoft Word. Be familiar with Adobe InDesign and other appropriate software packages.
- Solid communication skills. You’ll need to present your marketing and advertising ideas and how they meet their strategic challenges.
- Copywriting/writing experience required
Required Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience in graphic design producing a wide range of advertising and marketing projects demonstrated through your online portfolio.
- Speak the language of the various applications of design including digital advertising, marketing, photography, illustration, and video production.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Solid communication skills. You’ll need to present your design ideas and how they meet their strategic challenges.
- Multitask. You’ll need to actively manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously. We use sophisticated project management software, but theres no substitute for personal responsibility.
- Be a quick learner. Get up to speed quickly on various software tools for online project management, team communication, etc.
