About the role
The CDL Class A driver will perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Reworld facilities and the client's sites. Drives will have the opportunity to operate a variety of equipment including tankers, tractor trailer, roll-off, vacuum trucks, vans, and flat-beds.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment in a safe manner following DOT regulations and company policies and regulations.
- Drive commercial vehicles to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations.
- Ensure placarding of the vehicle meets DOT regulations.
- Maintain paperwork including expense reports, timesheets, vehicle inspection reports, manifests, and job sheets.
- Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED preferred.
- Must be 21 years or older, due to interstate travelin a commercial vehicle and federal regulations.
- Minimum 1 years of commercial driving experience.
- CDL Class A with Tanker endorsements required
- HazMat endorsement is preferred but not required.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to use a tablet for E-Logs.
Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
Consistently work in various weather conditions
Monday-Friday day shift with occasional weekends
