We are seeking a Procurement Leader - Solar to join our Rexel team in San Diego, CA :
Summary
The Rexel California Solar team has positioned itself as a key supplier of industry leading solar vendors’ and their products while leveraging the Rexel corporate chain of local branches, regional Distribution Centers, and logistics teams. We are rapidly growing our brand and impact in the solar industry and are excited to bring on new team members to further our success.
The Procurement Leader role is a critical component to our team’s continued growth by providing operational support to our sales team. Below are some key descriptions, requirements, and responsibilities of the Procurement Leader Role.
What You'll Do
The Procurement Leader will work in unison with our Solar Sales and Operations team to support our growing customer base
Purchase and manage inventory to fulfill customer demand using historical data in conjunction with forecasted customer demand
Regularly Interact with branch or region staff to properly manage and support inventory requests
Regularly interact with key suppliers to develop and maintain positive relationships
Generate and analyze inventory data to efficiently manage the number of products that are stock in our warehouse
Develop pricing strategies in conjunction with sales staff to meet sales and margin objectives
Develop strategies to improve customer satisfaction through customer and sales feedback
Participate in sales, quality, and service meetings
May fill in for other branch and warehouse roles as needed
Manage facility, equipment, and vehicle maintenance
Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need
High School Diploma or GED
Bachelor’s degree preferred
2 years of Business Operations experience
Experience in the electrical distribution industry a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficient to advanced Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Advanced experience and comfortability in various software programs such as Excel, Power BI, ERP, etc.
Ability to produce a valuable and comprehensible presentation, and present to managers, colleagues, and customers
Ability to regularly engage with regional and national leadership to execute on deliverables
Knowledge of electrical distribution industry, current market, customers, suppliers, and competitors
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to negotiate contracts
Strong knowledge/experience using Microsoft Office Tools including Excel and Power BI
Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
Ability to prioritize workload and seek process and productivity improvements
