What are the responsibilities and job description for the Acro Instructor position at Rez Dance?
Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Acro Instructor to join our Christian Dance Studio. As an Acro Instructor, you will have the opportunity to inspire and teach students of all ages and skill levels. If you have a love for tumbling/acro and enjoy working with children, this is the perfect position for you.
Duties:
- Develop and implement dance and tumbling lesson plans for various age groups and skill levels
- Teach students different levels of tumbling, and choreography
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their skills
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Coordinate and choreograph acro performances for recitals
- Ensure the safety of students during dance classes
- Maintain accurate attendance records
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Acro Instructor or tumbling instructor
- Strong knowledge of various tumbling, including variations of handstands, cartwheels, aerials, handsprings, forward and back rolls, etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with children of all ages
- Patience and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline
- Must be able to pass a background check
