Electrical Engineer II

RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise.  We are seeking a growth-oriented candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team.  The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes.  This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility in Mossville, IL.

Electrical Engineer II

This position is associated with the development of electrical harnesses for diesel engines. You will work with a team to determine the design requirements & then develop the ideal design with supplier collaboration.

Job Description

• Design new and enhance existing harnesses for engines/electronics intended for on/off road vehicles and harsh environments.
• Perform tasks, with some supervision, to meet quality, delivery and cost goals.
• Operate in a team environment, providing guidance to design solutions and actively participating in design reviews.
• Use CAD to develop optimal routing solutions. 
• Employ independent troubleshooting strategies; quickly determine root cause with some support from others.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or technology related degree.
• Technical experience using and understand schematics and circuit analysis tools.
• Experience with development and debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multi-meters, etc.).
• Good written and verbal communications skills.
• 2-4 years experience. 

Preferred Skills

• Creo (alternative CAD software is acceptable)
• TeamCenter experience
• Electrical Schematic exposure
