Job Description
Currently, RG is looking to hire a Data Analytics Developer to support our product development team in delivering a compelling Data Analytics capability through beautiful and usable models and reporting outputs for our planning and scheduling software and applications. Working directly with our Client(s), Business Analysts and Agile development teams, the Data Analytics Developer will take ownership of the user’s ability to produce analytical reporting, dashboards and models by creating and validating design concepts through to detailed interface design. We are seeking people excited to prepare radical and transformative experiences which constructively challenge the established preconceptions of Government and commercial clients, and who can lead and grow that capability within the company.
A Day In the Life:
The chosen candidate can expect to be responsible for transforming business requirements into analytical models, dashboards, and reports that optimize the product experience for the user community. Working with business analysts and Agile development teams, the Data Analytics Developer will contribute to the ongoing transformation of requirements by conducting user research, leading design workshops and concept demonstrations, and designing the individual user interfaces.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Leading the Data Analytics Reporting user experience and interface design process across various product and program forums
- Maintaining and updating the Data Analytics Reporting strategy, approach, and best practices to ensure a consistent user experience across the system
- Maintaining and updating visual and behavior standards for web pages and user interface controls for web and mobile solutions
- Working with stakeholders to solicit and incorporate user feedback
- Creating wireframes, mock-ups, and associated artifacts that describe the user experience, workflows, and interfaces
- Collaborating and coordinating with product and delivery teams to ensure reporting standards are followed
- Developing actionable Data Analytics reporting, dashboard, and model documentation that both enhances and communicates the design process and stands as referable artifacts for review throughout the development process

Required Skills
The Data Analytics Developer is an exempt resource who will have the knowledge to take concepts from client and subject matter expert meetings and then determine potential methods to visualize the data and concepts for end users. The candidate should possess experience in understanding Oracle data models and creating simple to medium complexity PL/SQL queries to create datasets. The candidate will work with a team of backend, mid-tier, and GUI/Front end developers to develop reports and dashboards. The candidate should also remain current on industry trends, value teamwork, and have a wide range of interpersonal skills.
Required Experience
To be successful in this role, all candidates must meet the below qualifications to be considered.
- 3 years of experience in Data Analytics Report design, build, and test to include:
- Experience in defining, communicating, and reinforcing a consistent design strategy and style guide for web and mobile applications
- Experienced in finding ways to maximize the efficiency of workflow between development and design in an Agile process
- Experienced with Analytical dashboard, reporting, and modeling testing and test automation
- Basic data modeling and PL/SQL skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate across management, staff, and multiple Agile delivery teams
- Ability to work across organizational lines and to mentor clients to achieve strategic goals.
- Knowledge of Agile software design and development process
- Demonstrated experience in leading design work on major applications
- Skilled in developing wireframes, mock-ups, style sheets, and user design templates
- Ability to travel nationwide for client meetings (5-10% possibility)
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance (US Citizenship required)

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Design, or related field
- Design Experience in sophisticated interactive graphical modeling applications, such as: 2D and 3D network modeling, charting, or diagramming; augmented reality; or real-time analytical systems
- Past work with applications like BIRT, Jasper, or Vega
- Data Analytics related certification to include reporting, modeling, and dashboard tools
- Agile certification (such as CSM or SAFe)
- Experience using MediaWiki software
- Current/previous Secret clearance or above
