RGA in St. Louis MO seeks an Assistant Actuary to perform risk management, asset / liability analysis and In Force management activities for the GFS Risk Management division; supports Asset Intensive deals, asset / liability modeling and conducts experience analysis; and participates in key unit projects (ex.’s: division business plan, year-end reporting and compliance, settlement work, line-of-business management reports) and performs ad hoc requests assigned to the risk management unit.
Additional specific duties and responsibilities include: develops and maintains asset and liability models in various platforms; tracks quarterly experience for assigned, in force treaties; completes or assists with line of business experience studies; works with pricing actuaries to understand the major risks for assigned, in force treaties and assists with the ongoing analysis for management of said risks; assists with the development of the annual business plan; performs pricing and risk analysis by developing computer models and financial projections of reinsurance proposals with appropriate documentation of such analyses; develops actuarial assumptions for and analyzes risk exposure in potential transactions; assists with quarterly analysis of financial performance; completes or assists with reporting and compliance concerns; discusses terms of assigned deals and bases supporting assigned analyses with key stakeholders (both internal and external); and participates in key unit and ad-hoc department projects as needed.
BS in Math, Finance, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related field. The individual must possess at least 36 months actuarial experience in life insurance or reinsurance field and Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) certification. May work hybrid.
