Position Overview
Design, implement, and maintain investment reporting to ensure timely, accurate, meaningful, and cost-effective analytics to regular and ad hoc reporting requests. Develop process enhancements and/or tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Investment Reporting and provide other project support to the Investment Reporting team. The role will promote collaboration across investments as well as with our business partners throughout the organization while fostering a culture and environment to achieve excellence and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and influence team to develop process enhancements and implement and leverage reporting tools, which could include;
- Support the transition from legacy databases to the Investment Data Warehouse
- Enhance reporting process to reduce manual effort
- Identify opportunities in daily processing to reduce human effort
- Drive prioritization and influence collaboration with other teams within Investments.
- Develop and execute reporting deliverables for internal and external partners.
- Lead the development of reporting policies, procedures, standards, and controls. Investigate and make recommendations on report consolidation, standardization, and optimization across all investment reports.
- Build a robust knowledge of RGA’s portfolio and data structures in the system.
- Build a robust knowledge of existing investment-related systems and software (ie Power BI, Tableau, Aladdin, Bloomberg, etc).
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Investments front, middle, and back office as well as with RGA corporate partners (ie, IT, Accounting, Structured Finance, etc).
- Assist in special projects, committees, and meetings as required.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related field, AND 10 years of relevant work experience
OR
- Master’s, MBA, ASA, or FSA AND 5 years of relevant work experience
Preferred:
- CFA designation OR demonstrable understanding of fixed income investing
- Third party investor and/or fund reporting experience

- Advanced technological skills with Microsoft products
- Very detail oriented and organized
- Knowledge of portfolio and fixed income analytics
- Advanced technological skills and experience with common industry applications (i.e, Power BI, Tableau, Aladdin and Bloomberg)
Preferred:
- Solid understanding of GIPS® reporting principles

The general pay range for this position is $145.8k - $179K base per year. Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement and other employee benefits.
