Job Description:
RGAS is a nationwide distributor of refrigerants and related services serving the American HVACR industry. We seek an experienced and dedicated Operations Manager for our refrigerant gas business. The Operations Manager will oversee our company’s daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across the business while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and US Customs.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee, direct, and coordinate daily business operations to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, including the handling, storing, and transporting of refrigerant gases.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures, ensuring they align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Monitor business operations' performance, identifying improvement areas and implementing necessary changes.
- Collaborate with other departments, like sales and logistics, to create and improve processes and systems.
- Maintain a deep knowledge of the industry and market trends, including staying updated on regulations from bodies like the EPA, OSHA, and DOT.
- Manage relationships with key operations vendors and service providers.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee involvement, morale, and productivity.
- Prepare reports on operational performance and forecast future needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the refrigerant gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
- Strong problem-solving, strategic planning, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in using business software, including Microsoft Office Suite and operations management software.
Working Conditions:
This role is based at our Houston office but will requirefrequent visits to our plant in Crosby, TX. The Operations Manager should be comfortable working in an industrial environment with hazardous materials. Safety training specific to the refrigerant gas industry will be provided.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
