This position is located at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida.
This position may be eligible for a partial telecommuting schedule. Tasks for this position must be performed largely on-site, but later assignments may be performed remotely.

Essential Functions
- Assist the Facility Security Officer (FSO) with ensuring program compliance with all corporate and government requirements and directives.
- Maintain the personnel security program in accordance with the provisions and procedures of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
- Administratively process personnel security clearances in accordance with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) requirements and maintain/update personnel security information.
- Process incoming and outgoing visit requests via the Defense Information Security System (DISS).
- Generate, coordinate, and file Restricted Area Badge requests.
- Maintain database to ensure employee information is accurate and current at all times.
- Serve as a Classified Document Custodian and assist the FSO in assuring that all classified items are properly received, logged, and stored in accordance with NISPOM requirements.
- Providing guidance/assistance regarding protection of classified information
- Assist with self-inspections and participate in government security vulnerability assessments.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Take action to solve problems while exhibiting sound judgment.
- Conduct Resource Protection Program inspections and audits, record and report findings, track corrective actions.
- Coordinate visitor access requests for controlled and restricted areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree in industrial security or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least two years' experience with security requirements and directives
- A complete understanding of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
- Experience working with the Defense Information Security System (DISS)
- Experience working with the National Background Investigation Services (NBIS)
- Experience working with Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT)
- Experience working with computer desktop packages such as Microsoft Office
- Past employment must demonstrate exposure to processes or activities requiring strong ethical conduct, or experience successfully working with classified/sensitive material.
- Knowledge of classified material/data security handling and protection procedures
- Previous FSO certification preferred or ability to obtain FSO certification within six months of start date.
- Must be flexible to travel occasionally to support specific project requirements.
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Must have a US Passport or be able to obtain one within 6 months of employment
