Under authority of the Program Director, the Wellness Coach assures that all operational procedures are followed. The Wellness Coach is responsible for utilizing psychiatric rehabilitation principles to promote recovery, community integration and improved quality of life for residents through collaboration with consumers, team members, family members, significant others and collateral resources. The Wellness Coach will assist team members and other providers with an understanding of the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Model and the day-to-day practice of this modality. Wellness Coach is responsible for working in accordance with the values and policies of RHD.

Referral Bonus:
PICL is offering $250 referral bonuses at this time! The BHH division of RHD will provide a referral bonus for the following positions and distributed per the following amounts and timelines:
For nursing, direct support or clinical positions – Referral Bonus $250 to be paid to referring employee after successful completion* of 90 days employment • All referral pay will be pro-rated for Part Time positions being filled.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Utilizing psychiatric rehabilitation principles to promote recovery, full community integration and improved quality of life for residents
- To maintain a safe, supportive and recovery-focused environment that fosters growth and rehabilitation as well as?facilitates the development of natural supports and self-help skills
- To engage consumers in a trusting and supportive relationship, providing emotional support within the professional boundaries, as needed
- To support the individualized recovery plans developed with consumers with the aim of achieving and maintaining physical health,?mental health and emotional well-being as well as participating in the recovery process.
- To assist the consumer to reach the goals he or she has set in their recovery plan
- Practice and encourage advocacy activities to enable self-advocacy efforts.
Required Experience:
- 0-1 year of experience in Social Service, Behavioral Health setting.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service discipline.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License.
Program Summary
The Pennsylvania Institute for Community Living (PICL) is a 15-bed modified therapeutic community residential program that offers integrated self-help, recovery-oriented treatment along with psychiatric rehabilitation, 24-hour staffing and placement in permanent housing. PICL offers all components of Psychiatric Rehabilitation in its day-to-day treatment with specific lesson plans and groups organized around functional skill sets in the following areas: social skills, vocational skills, tenancy skill building such as budgeting and financial planning, time management, emotional expression and coping skills. The rehabilitative process focuses on each individual’s strengths and is a collaborative process between staff members and the residents. The program usually takes 12-18 months for residents to reach their recovery focused goals.
