Mechanical Designer

Responsibilities

  • Work with Application Team to develop reliable conveyor solutions.
  • Develop designs using standards and best practice solutions. 
  • Review and revise designs to best meet customers' needs
  • Determine the best components for the desired outcome to meet specifications and customer needs.
  • Design with ease of manufacture in mind
  • Understand entire scope of project and communicate clearly the requirements both internal of the design as well as communication capacities and restrictions.
  • Ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure adherence to customer supplied specification as well as internal design standards.

Education and Experience

  • 5-10 years' experience mechanical design of conveyors and associated hardware 
  • Knowledge of raw materials
  • 2-year Solidworks/AutoCAD
  • Associate degree in mechanical design (or Similar)
  • Knowledge of AWS and ANSI standards
  • Strong working knowledge of machines and manufacturing processes
