Role: HRIS Analyst Location: Remote Duration: 12 Months Contract/ C2H Client: MountHolyoke Rate: $50/hr on C2C Department Summary & Job Purpose: In partnership with the Mount Holyoke College community, the Human Resources Department supports the mission of the College by providing programs and services that attract, develop and retain a highly qualified and diverse workforce. We provide leadership in identifying and responding to the community’s changing needs, and in providing guidance in the development, implementation, and administration of policies and procedures in support of our mission. The Human Resources Information System Analyst will maintain the integrity and reliability of the College’s HRIS systems. This will include ensuring applications meet the needs, requirements, and objectives of the HR department. Technical aptitudes will include employing tools for data storage and security; maintaining the data dictionary, facilitating data availability; monitoring and maintaining databases and metadata structures; providing insights into the relationships between data elements; supporting the tools for reporting, data entry, and administering data access. This position is a temporary 12-month assignment with a target start date of January 2023 the position may be extended based on available funding. Core Job Duties and Responsibilities: This position will collaborate with the HR team, IT, and key stakeholders to gather and define system requirements, and recommendations, document changes for change control purposes, design and implement solutions and ensure user ease of adoption. Configure and implement system upgrades and enhancements, lead testing and data validation, and ensure that overall system performance is aligned with business objectives. Partner with IT to troubleshoot, analyze, detect, and identify root causes and resolve technical problems and deficiencies. Ensure that users and the HR team are properly trained and that there is adequate documentation of processes and procedures. Optimize HRIS systems, recommend and integrate new software when necessary, and perform user acceptance testing. Create edit and prepare reports and user-friendly dashboards. Perform audits on HR processes and documents, including hiring, termination, and payroll administration, when required. Keep track of advancements and trends and participate in discussions on the future use of technology and business process improvements. Act as an expert and internal resource on system capability and functionality. Qualifications: • Four years’ experience with HRIS platforms, including HR business processes (e.g., benefits, compensation, recruiting). • Ability to collaborate, provide technical support, and train staff. • Experience prioritizing competing assignments, with strong attention to detail. • Experience in documenting processes, as well as performing diagnostic tests and audits. • Thorough understanding of functional analysis and system design. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience presenting technical topics in a business-oriented fashion to non-technical audiences. • Ability to keep the information confidential. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, HR management, business administration, or similar. Preferred Qualifications: • Human Capital Management (HCM) upgrade or implementation project coordination experience. • At least three years of experience in higher education. • Workday HCM system experience. • Lean Six Sigma or Project Management Certification preferred. License/Certifications: Compliance Requirements: Physical Demands: • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
