We are seeking a skilled and reliable lube technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for automotive maintenance. As a lube technician, you will be responsible for performing routine oil changes and other basic maintenance tasks on a variety of vehicles. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to start a career in the automotive industry and is eager to learn and grow. Our Lube technicians who exhibit a good attitude and desire to enhance their career have the opportunity for advancement into a service repair technician apprenticeship and tuition reimbursement. Here at Ricart Automotive, approximately 60% of our technicians have been developed through one of these training pathways. Several of our technicians who were once apprentices themselves are now mentoring the next generation of automotive technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Perform oil changes and lubrication services on vehicles according to manufacturer specifications
- Inspect vehicles for any additional maintenance or repair needs
- Replace filters, fluids, and other basic automotive components as needed
- Keep accurate records of services performed and recommendations for future maintenance
- Assist other technicians with more complex repairs as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a lube technician or similar role is preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance procedures
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record of 6 points or less
