Riccelli-Northern is an American-owned and operated company that is proud to deliver American products on American soil with the help of American workers. Consisting of 50 locations, we provide transportation, mining, and material handling throughout the northeast with an acknowledged reputation for premium products and quality service. We supply a wide range of “green” products including ready mix, concrete block, aggregates, and blacktop with the ability to haul most materials to any location.
We are looking for a Scale Clerk to operate the scales at our Stockbridge location. The ideal candidates will work well independently and with others, be detail-oriented, organized, and a problem solver.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain work area in a neat and professional manner.
- Answer phones and handle office duties and projects as requested.
- Prepare scales for daily use. Work with Plant Admin Support Supervisors to troubleshoot and repair issues.
- Operate truck scales and generate correct tickets for the customers. Weigh and record incoming materials such as gasoline, diesel fuel, explosives, and scrap scales.
- Greet customers in a professional and polite manner. Communicate clearly with customers to bill transactions correctly.
- Listen to customer issues and complaints and work to resolve them through communication with sales/dispatch departments.
- Direct customers to piles and instruct load out personnel of customer needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Customer Service experience is preferred.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Computer experience with Microsoft Office, Google, and other software packages relevant to the position.
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions and tolerate loud noise.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, and handle or feel objects. The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Hearing protection provided.
