GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Accounting Manager will oversee Richcroft’ s accounting operations, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and maintaining fiscal responsibility. The successful candidate will be a key player in not only managing daily financial transactions and processes but also in supporting strategic decision-making to advance our mission.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Manage and supervise accounting staff.
Review and management of cash, payroll, A/R and A/P processing.
Review and management of reconciliations and maintenance of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Review and approve general ledger coding.
Review and analyze revenue allocations and expense trend analysis.
Develop curriculum for training intended to assist program managers understand their role as it relates to the finance department.
Work with CFO to develop and implement finance department policies and procedures.
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Monitor and interpret cash flows and predict future trends.
Implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information.
Develop and oversee internal controls to prevent inaccuracies in financial statements.
Respond to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data.
Examine financial and legal documents to verify accuracy and adherence to financial regulations and acceptable financial principles.
Develop and maintain financial databases and computer software systems.
Work with the CFO to develop strategies and plans for the long-term financial goals of the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or other similar role, preferably in a Maryland Development Disabilities Administration setting.
At least 5 years financial management experience in managing financial systems, internal controls, staff supervision, and compliance.
In -depth working knowledge of business bookkeeping procedures and GAAP.
Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Excel; familiarity with financial regulations.
Experience with government grants and funding accounting practices pertinent to nonprofits.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
SKILLS:
Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Experience with MS Dynamics GP, Ceridian Dayforce, and ICare Manager a plus.
Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and report-writing skills.
Exceptional attention to detail.

Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
