Join our team of caring, compassionate, attentive people who have accepted their calling to provide service every day to our residents. Richfield Living is accepting applications for Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at our NEW Health Center in Roanoke.
The COTA implements individualized resident treatment plans as established by the primary OT. Works with other members of the rehabilitation team to develop programs consistent with the needs and capabilities of each resident. Instructs, educates, and trains residents and caregivers in the skills and techniques of the OT program under the supervision of the OT.
Qualifications:
- Must exhibit Richfield Living Values – RISES at all times
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service to Richfield Living community
- Requires valid Virginia OTA license with ability to practice per Virginia guidelines.
- Must be a graduate of an OTA curriculum accredited by AOTA & ACOTE standards.
- Must have initial certification from the National Board for Certification in OT
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate; verbal and written.
- Ability to observe and communicate changes of medical conditions to the nursing team
- Passion to care for our residents
- Experience working within a healthcare community desired
- Experience with Elopement and Emergency Procedures desired
