Job Description
The purpose of the class is to operate heavy equipment in the maintenance and/or construction of County roads and drainage systems; to maintain assigned equipment, and to perform other work as required. This class works according to set procedures under close supervision. Position reports to Crew Leader.
Requires high school diploma, GED equivalent, or specialized vocational training. Must possess a valid state commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements or obtain CDL license within 12 months of hire. Requires over six (6) months of relevant experience.
