Job Description

Estimator with knowledge of millwork, casework and paneling (metal and other industry experience is a plus). Computer literacy is required, particularly Excel.

Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects. Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work.

Analyze project drawings and specifications to identify potential risks and opportunities. Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and other technical documents.

  • Tasks will include : organizing, managing and prioritizing incoming bid opportunities on tight timeframes; managing internal / external deadlines;
  • EXCELLENT computer skills and highly proficient in email and written communication.
  • MUST have a positive and pleasant attitude, be energetic and ready to learn and quickly integrate into a fast-paced team.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and clients
  • Demonstrated strong multi-tasking and detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Clearly understand the complexity of the scope of work as collectively presented in all plans (civil, architectural, interior design, etc.) and specifications.
  • Ability to work in a busy and deadline-driven environment.
  • General knowledge of the construction and / or millwork industry is required.
  • Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial construction projects
