Performs a variety of specialized medical secretarial and scheduling duties to support the admission and treatment of patients in the Rural Health Clinic. Performs other medical office Rural Health Clinic related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school graduate or equivalent
2. Knowledge of office organization and basic clerical skills required, preferably obtained in an outpatient medical clinic or office.
3. Experience in health care as Medical Assistant preferred
4. Must have initiative to work without constant supervision or direction
5. Ability to efficiently manage time and scheduled tasks
6. Ability to read, understand, write, and communicate effectively in the English language
7. Ability to pass a medical terminology test with a score of 70% or better and a basic spelling test with a score of 80% or better.
8. Ability to maintain AccuReg accuracy rate at a minimum of 80% during the probationary period and 90% accuracy after the probationary period.
9. Ability to maintain ABN forms and incomplete MSP report at a 90% or higher monthly accuracy rate. No more than 3 missed per month.
10. Computer experience (Microsoft Word, Excel) with the ability to type 25 WPM without errors
11. CPR certification or will obtain with 2 months of hire
12. Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with patients, families and co-workers.
