Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to) :
- Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using a bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, shaving, skin, and hair)
- Ambulation / Transfers
- Eating
- Dressing / Shaving
- Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions
- Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments
- Vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors
- Doing dishes
- Changing bed linens, doing laundry
- Cleaning bathroom
Assist the client with problem-solving and supportive activities (which could include, but are not limited to) :
- Medication reminders
- Encouraging exercises
- Cooking meals
- Understanding dementia care
- Incontinence care
- Companionship
Qualifications and Skills :
- A Valid (NJS) HHA Certification
- Valid ID and Social Security Card
- PPD within the past 9 months or chest x-ray within 5 years, MMR
- 2 Work or Professional References
- Warmth, compassion, patience, trustworthiness, and an upbeat and confident personality with strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills
Job Types : Full-time, Part-time
