Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly clients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents.
- Remind clients to take prescribed medication.
- Help with mobility.
- Plan and prepare meals.
- Assist clients with errands including outings, grocery shopping, etc.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Report any changes in condition/ Advocate for clients.
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
- Encourage activities/exercises that are essential for daily living.
- Provide safety supervision.
Qualifications
- 18 or Older
- Ability to submit to and pass drug screen and criminal background check.
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
- Ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
- Availability to work different shifts
- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment *preferred but not required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and car insurance and/or reliable transportation
- Take pride in providing high quality care
