What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Engineer position at RightClick?
Our client is a large hedge fund located in lower Fairfield County, CT that specializes in pooling money from several high-net-worth investors and large companies with the goal of maximizing returns and reducing risk. They are seeking a C# .Net Software Engineer who will assist with direct our client’s software programming initiatives. This is a hybrid position based in Greenwich, CT.
Software Engineer’s Responsibilities and Duties
- Developing and directing software system validation and testing methods.
- Directing our software programming initiatives
- Overseeing the development of documentation.
- Working closely with clients and cross-functional departments to communicate project statuses and proposals.
- Analyzing data to effectively coordinate the installation of new systems or the modification of existing systems.
- Managing the software development lifecycle.
- Monitoring system performance.
Software Engineer’s Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
- At least 3 years of .NET (C#) development experience
- At least 3 years working with SQL Server 2008
- Previous experience working in a financial services setting
- Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices
- Strong experience designing and working with n-tier architectures (UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer) along with some experience with service-oriented architectures (SOA).
