Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per year

Job Description:
The Litigation Associate at our client's Atlanta Office will be responsible for handling litigation matters for the firm. They will utilize their legal expertise to facilitate the litigation process on behalf of clients. The candidate will report to the Supervising Partners for Alabama and Georgia Litigation on respective matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend mediations, trials, hearings, and other assigned duties.
  • Conduct legal research and writing.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Draft various legal documents including pleadings, briefs, affidavits, discovery, proposed orders, correspondence, memoranda, and opinion letters.
  • Travel as necessary.
  • Write articles and make presentations to clients, trade associations, and ICLE.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Member of the Georgia Bar, maintaining all necessary licensing and continuing legal education requirements.
  • Alabama Bar membership is a plus.
  • Minimum of five years of litigation experience, with foreclosure experience being advantageous.
  • Preferred experience in title matters.
  • Proficiency in the rules of evidence, introducing evidence, and civil procedure in both state and federal court.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools like Fastcase or Westlaw.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Quick problem-solving abilities.
