Main Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Job Role

Creates fabrication drawings for use on production floor.

 

Produces drawings for project components under the direction of engineers.

 

Works with engineers and production supervisors to complete shop production drawings.

 

Produces accurate CNC programs for shop CNC equipment from design drawings.

 

Creates and organizes libraries of standard component drawings.

 

Works actively with engineers and production supervisors solving problems on the production floor.

 

Creates and organizes standard product drawings.

 

Revises drawings as required for changes on the production floor.

 

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Formal Education High School diploma or GED

 

Experience 3-4 years

Required / Credentials

Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.

 

Autodesk software experience (2D & 3D)

 

CNC programming knowledge

 

Steel fabrication knowledge/ experience

 

Microsoft software experience

Not Required but Highly Desired Criteria

AST experience

 

Construction knowledge

 

Good Math skills

 

Experience using CNC equipment

 

Welding experience

 

Steel fabrication equipment experience

Updating of Knowledge

Job requirements occasionally change requiring re-training to stay current every 3-5 years.
