Precision polishing is a manual process of converting pre-established dimensions and surface finishes created by machining, grinding or EDM to a final specification. The process involves spin and ultrasonic polishing, stoning, lapping and buffing through the use of stones, lapping paper, buffing compounds and diamond paste.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to manage the high precision process requirements.
  • Possess comprehensive skills to read engineering drawings.
  • Understand surface finish symbols, definitions and conversions.
  • Proficiency in various polishing techniques and procedures.
  • Competent in the set up and use of precision measuring instruments.
  • Competent to verify dimensional accuracy of work performed.
  • Maintain acceptable performance standards.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Skills Required:

  • Polishing experience in the industry is strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks
  • Attention to detail.
  • Time Management skills
  • Neat and Organized
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to achieve intended objective.
  • Ability to use standard calibrated measuring equipment including calipers, optic, micrometers, pin gauges, pressure gauges, etc.

Manufacturing floor environments

Controlled temperature environments

Expected Hours of Work
This is a Full-Time Salary/Hourly position required to work Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
