Responsibilities
- Develop and implement technical accounting policies and procedures in accordance with US GAAP and SEC requirements
- Research and analyze complex accounting issues and provide recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams
- Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and policies, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and others as applicable
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and audit requirements
- Monitor regulatory developments and proactively identify and assess the impact of new accounting standards and regulations on the company's financial statements
- Provide technical accounting guidance to business partners and cross-functional teams
- Manage the preparation and review of technical accounting memos and disclosures for SEC filings
- Develop and maintain relationships with external accounting firms, including technical accounting advisors
- Train and develop team members on technical accounting matters
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 8 years of experience in technical accounting, preferably with a Big Four accounting firm or in a public company setting
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Experience with complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and business combinations
- Experience with SEC filings, including 10-K and 10-Q filings
- Familiarity with international accounting standards (IFRS)
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
