Laundry Sorter Attendant

Responsible for efficiently handling laundry operations, including sorting and folding of various items such as sheets, towels, pillowcases, bathmats, washcloths, and other non-serviced laundry. This involves preparing the laundry for our attendants to initiate the washing process.

Job Responsibilities:

• Check in orders in computer system according to each bundle
• Sort Laundry, checking garments for any items in pockets, garment defects, unbutton blouses, incorrect service types, etc.
• Standing, or working on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Basic computer use.
• Maintain company standards of performance and comply with all standard policies, safety policies and procedures.
• Folding laundry orders.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness and safety practices within the sortation area.
• Wear personal protective equipment and adhere to all safety training.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by Supervisor and Management team.

Position Requirements:

• Six (6) months to one (1) year of experience in a high volume laundry production environment preferred.
• Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of a normal shift.
• Other physical requirements include but are not limited to lifting, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and bending.
• Capable of working in a laundromat environment, with elevated temperatures, fluctuating temperatures, loud noises and moving machinery.
• Capable of lifting and maneuvering up to 60 pounds on a consistent basis.
• Team player with the skill-set to work independently with minimal direction.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Open to change and ambiguity.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Excellent attendance.
• Must be able to read and write the English language.
• Good hand/eye coordination.
