Duties and Responsibilities:
- Regularly consult with faculty and staff to evaluate requirements and suggest appropriate technology solutions.
- Contribute to the school's overall technology strategy.
- Offer support for platforms like Blackbaud and Google Workspace for Education.
- Maintain and manage network, hardware, and software services.
- Manage budgets related to tech capital and operational costs.
- Deliver timely tech support to faculty, staff, and students, addressing both hardware and software issues.
- Lead initiatives concerning educational tech integration, and guide hardware and software purchases.
- Support audio/visual requirements during school events and board meetings.
- Train faculty on tech tools and applications.
- Conduct basic tech repairs.
- Help maintain an inventory of tech assets, including hardware, software, and electronic devices.
- Assist in classrooms by supporting technology usage and applications.
- Regularly be on-site in areas where tech is being integrated, especially during tech-focused lessons and activities.
- Employ varied teaching techniques suitable for all student age groups.
- Potentially teach computer science or upper school mathematics.
Necessary Qualifications:
- Must hold at least a Bachelor's degree; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Must have specialized training in computer science, especially as applied in an educational context.
- Should have knowledge of tech's role in education.
- Flexibility is essential, given the school's diverse tech requirements, from basic tech support to strategic planning.
- Should exhibit a strong desire for learning. This role may involve teaching elementary computer science.
- Must manage and oversee all school technology assets, both hardware and software.
Top 3 Requirements:
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Expertise as an Administrator for Google Workspace for Education, with a grasp on Chromebook management, fleet deployment, and enterprise management.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking.
