We are looking for a Planner/Scheduler Underground to oversee the on-going maintenance and operation of the fixed/mobile assets for RTK Underground. The RTK Underground consists of underground workings and critical asset infrastructure to support surface and underground workings. This role is a great opportunity to implement your technical skills while focusing on safe operations and executing a plan to deliver Rio Tinto Kennecott objectives. Reporting to the Superintendent – Underground Asset Management, you will:
- Improving productivity of people, equipment and work quality by eliminating potential delays and obstacles to efficient work execution
- Responsible for maintenance work by producing weekly maintenance plans which are practical with all the resources identified with accurate estimates and all necessary materials
- Ensuring safety needs are given a top priority in work planning
- Providing KPI data showing maintenance performance to various departments
- Recommending system and design changes to improve the processes
- Leading follow-up meetings to capture learnings from the workforce to capture improvements in plant and procedures
- Oversee MS Project resource loaded schedules
- Develop area maintenance budgets that align with the operating plan
- Fulfill Underground Safety Standard requirements as needed
- Support other team members with their roles and responsibilities.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Previous maintenance planning and scheduling experience
- SAP experience
- Previous project experience.
It will also be beneficial if you have:
- Strong organizational and time management skills preferred
- Ability to manage solid and dotted line accountabilities
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office software skills and database management
- Microsoft Project experience.
