We are looking for a Technician - Lab to assist in the day-to-day tasks of sample collection, preparation and analysis, as well as reporting analytical results which are a key component to the process, providing operations with critical information for optimizing the day-to-day operation.
This role is a great opportunity to work in a Lab technician role reporting to the Supervisor-Site Labs Concentrator, you will be:
- Contributing to a Zero Harm safety culture, free from incidents.
- Collecting, Receiving and Processing Daily Plant Samples.
- Analyzing and verifying sample results on a variety of sample matrices.
- Operating mixers, vibratory screens, and other processing equipment.
- Interpreting and adapting existing methods to improve efficiency, accuracy and quality.
- Utilizing analytical methods and standard operating procedures to ensure data integrity, compliance and good laboratory practice.
- Operating mobile equipment on plant property and on highway delivering to Central Lab.
- Working with operations to provide timely results when special samples are needed.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
What you’ll bring
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- High School Diploma
- Driver’s license to allow sample delivery to Central Lab.
- Understand and basic knowledge of processing techniques and equipment
- Ability to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures
- Skilled in use of computer operations including Word, Excel, Access and the ability to learn laboratory specific protocols including custom software.
