Day Compactor - Housekeeping - Part Time

As a Day Compactor, you play a vital role in our sustainability efforts by sorting minimal waste to landfill. Your daily tasks and responsibilities will include separating recyclable and compostable items from landfill items and maintaining our trash compactor, recycling rooms, and loading docks.

DAY-TO-DAY: 

-               Operating compacting machinery and coordinating waste and recyclable operations.

-               Sorting landfill, recyclable, and compostable items.

-               Cleaning and sanitizing garbage cans and gondolas.

-               Maintaining and cleaning equipment and workspaces daily.

-               Performing miscellaneous tasks to assist in preparation for events.

-               Responding to radio calls in a timely manner.

-               Other duties as assigned.

WE’D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU:

-               You are a minimum of 18 years old.

-               Experience in a similar role or task-based function, preferred.

-               The ability to rotate duties as needed and perform other reasonable job-related duties.

-               You are available to work flexible hours, early morning and throughout the day

-               You are able to practice safely transporting fully loaded trash cans (70-100 pounds) and lift 50 pounds regularly with proper body mechanics.

-               You can bend, reach, climb stairs, and hold equipment frequently.

-               You can operate compacting machinery and coordinate waste and recyclable operations. - You maintain the cleanliness of your workspace. - You work effectively both independently and as a team.

-               You value dedication and are detail oriented.
