About Us:
RipeLocker is a sustainable and value-added solution for growers/packers, shippers, and retailers to prolong freshness, improve the overall quality and manage food loss and waste of fresh produce and flowers. RipeLockers are a unique, patented, pallet-sized device that holds perishables under vacuum. The atmosphere (O2, CO2, pressure) inside the containers is constantly monitored and controlled in real-time in response to the perishable to reduce senescence and decay thereby extending postharvest life.
About the Role:
You will have the opportunity to build the processes and team responsible for procurement, third-party manufacturing relationships and global logistics at RipeLocker.
Responsibilities:
- Procurement - Develop processes to select & quality vendors and execute and execute processes to procure inventory and supplies.
- Third-party Manufacturing - Own the relationship between the company and critical sole source vendors and partner and ensure compliance with engineering specifications and project requirements.
- Warehouse Management – Manage the Poulsbo warehouse team to ensure safe and efficient receiving, quality control, assembly and shipping of inventory. Manage relationships with satellite finished goods and consignment warehouses.
- Inventory Management – Manage supply and demand planning and accurate inventory reporting across multiple locations.
- Global Logistics - Develop, co-ordinate, and execute strategies and processes for international transshipment RipeLockers to, from and between our global customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience in global logistics of both import to and export from the US required. Experience working with LATAM preferred.
- Experience in cultivating and maintaining vendor and third-party manufacturing relationships
- Deep understanding of ERP / MRP systems, including design and implementation of new systems
- Previous procurement experience supporting a manufacturing site using thermoformed plastic or extruded plastic components a plus
- Able to work on-site 2-3 days/week at either our Poulsbo or Bainbridge Island, WA facilities
- Able to travel up to 15%, may include international
- US work authorization.
- Candidates with Spanish or Portuguese language skills preferred.
