Energy Efficiency Canvasser

RISE is seeking a Canvasser to be responsible for connecting with local Small Business and Commercial customers, to help generate leads to support utility-sponsored energy efficiency program building upgrades.

The position is based out of the Cranston, RI office, representing the RI and MA territory. Hours and schedule are flexible, (10 hours min – 40 hour max)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Generate Energy Efficiency upgrade opportunities by following up on commercial leads in the field
• Clearly explain energy-efficiency program objectives to prospective customers
• Record data and communicate with Energy Specialist team
• Travel throughout the service territory on a daily basis
• Adhere to the company’s safety policies and procedures

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of experience in construction or facility maintenance (preferred)
• Strong verbal, writing and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office
• Access to electronic mail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A commitment to and enthusiasm for energy efficiency
• A reliable automobile, valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and clean driving record

This is a Temporary position. There are no benefits offered for this temporary position.
