What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Assistants position at RISE?
RISE Residential is currently looking for an energetic, service-minded Community Assistant to join this wonderful team. The Community Assistant is a part time position for student housing communities. A commitment of approximately 20 hours per week is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS STATEMENT(S)
- Discuss and clarify University and community rules, regulations, policies, and procedures with the residents.
- Serve as a role model for the residents. Encourage the residents to participate in educational and recreational programs offered by the community.
- With supervision of the General Manager implement outreach efforts to build rapport and become acquainted with the residents.
- Develop and implement programs and activities that serve the needs of the residents. Evaluate all programming efforts and assess for improvement.
- Answer questions about the apartment community; provide callers with directions to the community and other pertinent information. Retrieves messages from voicemail and distributes them to the appropriate team member.
- In accordance with Company policy; refer the resident to the General Manager for additional counseling and evaluation.
- Inspects the property tour route daily to ensure Company standards on cleanliness and curb appeal are being upheld.
- Assists the Leasing Manager when preparing application packets and maintaining an adequate on-hand supply.
- Maintain working knowledge of leasing application information, screening process, lease terms, rental rates, unit sizes, locations, amenities of the community, and community policies
- Maintains knowledge of the apartment community and amenities and how it compares with listings of other available rental properties in the area.
- Conduct marketing outreach on campus as directed.
- Maintain a professional, courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
- Report maintenance concerns in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
- Complete the Training Guide, Learning Management System online training, and instructor-led training courses required for this position.
- Assure safety standards are used which comply with all Company guidelines.
- Complete time worked records in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all work-related activities in a fair, ethical and consistent manner.
- Follow established Company policies and procedures.
- Arrive to work as scheduled and prepared.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must demonstrate literacy in the English language including reading. Must be enrolled at the University and have a 2.7 or higher grade point average (GPA) in the prior semester before the hire date. Cumulative GPA must remain 2.7 or higher for the duration of employment.
