Responsibilities
• Act as a primary IT Senior Business Analyst supporting our Global Trade Programs organization and the related software that enables Trade Compliance and Reporting
• Formulate and define systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with a good understanding of business systems, industry requirements, and available IT solutions.
• Support, tests and enhance moderately complex to complex information systems and develops adequate error management functionality within assigned applications.
• Take ownership of support activities for assigned applications and assure secondary resources are defined and are well trained and competent to support the application.
• Analyze business and user needs, document requirements/user stories, and manage and/or develops enhancements.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance Analysts to develop test plans, test cases, perform functional testing and assure proper user acceptance testing of completed projects.
• Provide new user training on supported applications as requested.
• Quantify business benefits to be delivered by the project or enhancement.
• Tracking of problems, request & suggestions for assigned applications.
• Guide business customers through business case development for new applications/functionality, including cost/benefit analysis and risk/impact analysis.
• Identify process efficiencies, recommend innovative uses of software functionality, design, implement solutions and train end-users.
• Providing guidance or leadership to less experienced team members
• Work with Business Relationship Mangers (BRM) to develop and maintain BU specific application roadmaps
• Guide business customers through business case development for new applications/functionality, including cost / benefit analysis and risk / impact analysis.
• Provide Security role creation and modification as defined and requested by the CHS IT / SAP Security Teams
• Assists Security Account Management Team with access provisioning activities.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field (or equivalent years of training, work experience and education)
• 7 years of Business Analyst experience including:
o 5 years of SAP-GTS business systems analysis experience
o Completed 2 full-cycle implementation projects of GTS
o Strong hands-on Configuration skills in GTS
o Direct experience supporting GTS Import and Export Management
o Direct experience with managing Sanctioned Party Lists for screening through GTS
o Experience with Business process definition, requirements definition, and development and support of integrated business applications
o GTS Preference processing & Free Trade Agreements
o Experience with GTS risk management, LTVD – long term vendor declaration, Broker communication
o GTS integration with both internal and external applications
Additional Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Management information Systems, Business, or related field
• Experience working with Agricultural Commodity Handling businesses
• Experience working with Customs and / or Customs Brokers
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Power Platforms
• Experience working with Adobe e-Sign
• Excellent grasp of customer relationship and expectation management
• Prior experience leading or mentoring others
• Agile software development and implementation understanding
• Project management or Scrum Master certification
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent Communication, Presentation & Customer support skills
