Who You Are (Job Description):
The Information Technology System Lead position requires a candidate with a minimum of 8 years of experience previously in a technical information technology role. The candidate for this position will be required to interface with members of program management, senior leadership, cybersecurity, system administration, facilities, and quality assurance teams. Experience in software development, engineering environment and familiarization with the importance of information security as required for the safeguarding, handling, and controlling of classified or unclassified information. This dynamic individual will need to have strong problem-solving skills, accountability, the ability to work well under pressure, and mange several high priority tasks simultaneously. This position is located 100% on-site in our Middletown, RI office.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and provide direction for IT team members
- Conduct routine evaluations of, and regular checks on, network and data integrity
- Identify and act to improve and update software and systems
- Develop and implement IT policy and best practice guides for the organization
- Ensure regular system audits are being conducted
- Provide regular system operation metrics and reports with senior staff
- Oversee and determine timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages
- Manage and report on allocation of IT budget
- Identify opportunities for team training and skills advancement
What Qualities and Skills Will You Bring?
- Minimum of 8 years Information Technology industry experience
- A Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields:
- Information Technology
- Science or Computer Science
- Management
- Project Management skills
- Financial Acumen
- This position requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
Additional Skills of Interest (not required):
- Certifications: Security , Microsoft, Linux s, and VMware
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools
- Experience with networking protocols and troubleshooting tools.
