· Starting Salary for Part-Time Officers at $16.04 to $22.06 per hour.
· Starting Salary for Full-Time Officers at $22.24 to $29.66 per hour.
Our city's police department is hiring Patrolmen to protect and serve the people of our community. The Police Officer position is a vital role in ensuring that our streets are safe and our citizens feel secure. Patrolmen will be expected to put in long hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, and the application process is competitive so we're seeking individuals with experience in public service and an interest in making a difference in our community.
Responsibilities:
- Drive around in a marked patrol car.
- Respond to calls from dispatch.
- Make arrests based on probable cause.
- Drive to specific locations within a designated time frame.
- Communicate with dispatchers over radio.
- Record arrest information on an incident report.
- Create a detailed account of the arrest and crime scene for the judge on arraignment day.
