POSITION SUMMARY
The Roofing Salesperson is responsible for producing materials and bids for all potential jobs. Also serves as customers’ point of contact throughout the entire sales and postproduction process. They will regularly coordinate with all areas of the business to ensure project is completed from start to finish and maintains frequent communication with customer to ensure exemplary customer service.
General Responsibilities
- Serves customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.
- Ensures customer understands the entire roofing process by providing accurate pricing and project timelines to include warranty information after completion.
- Services existing accounts and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
- Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
- Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
- Collects all pertinent documents including property plans, technical drawings, and project specifications, pictures while integrating into CRM system and ensuring most recent documents and communication logs are up to date.
- Drafts proposals that detail materials, costs, and time frames to accurately determine profitability and project timelines are compliant.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License
- The ability to work in all type of inclement weather
- The ability to climb ladders and roof access points to accurately assess and properly document all roofing needs and repair information.
- The ability to travel outside of the Central Illinois area to meet with perspective clients and develop new business as needed to include occasional overnight travel.
