Med Tech- FULL TIME DAYS
Our community is now accepting applications for a full-time Med Tech to join our team. The responsibilities of the Medication Technician (Med Tech) will include:
- Providing direct resident care services including medicine distribution to residents and following individualized plans of care for all residents
- Performing resident assessments as required by the state standards/regulations and facility policy, under the direction of the Director of Assisted Living
- Observing residents for change in condition and reporting any changes immediately, providing timely interventions to change of condition and sharing this with care staff and family as instructed
- Documenting all pertinent/relevant observations, red flags, incidents, interventions, communicating with the resident’s responsible party, physician ( as necessary), clinical procedures and daily medication assistance/care throughout the shift as indicated and no later than by the end of each shift
- Effectively passing required information to the next shift in timely manner and as indicated to direct supervisor to ensure quality resident care
- Overseeing the timely documentation by Resident Assistants of services provided and red flags for their shift
- Providing interim documentation as required to resident file

Qualifications
- Must possess high school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of state-certified medication aide course
- Ability to perform medication administration in accordance with governing regulations
- Experience with documentation preferred
- Six months of work experience or related experience preferred and/or training in direct service with other adults
