What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Groomer position at River Paws?
Are you looking for a change in scenery? Would you like to work with a few great people, and gain some pretty pawsome new clients?
River Paws is looking for an experienced, professional dog groomer to join our grooming team. Our goal is to provide exceptional grooming services to pet owners, ensuring their dogs look and feel their best. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for pets and their owners.
About Us: River Paws is a great little place. We are a locally owned small business that has grown into a thriving dog grooming salon and daycare center. As our team of two exceptional groomers undergoes a transition, with one groomer retiring, we are excited about our continued growth and the opportunity to welcome a new professional into our family. Our grooming success has led to a fully booked schedule, prompting us to recently invest in significant renovations. In the past year, we updated our grooming area with brand-new kennel banks, grooming tubs, dryers, and powered tables to provide a better experience for both our groomers and pups.
At River Paws, we take pride in our close-knit team and the exceptional care we provide for the numerous wonderful dogs we serve. If you're an experienced dog groomer with a passion for providing exceptional care to our furry friends, we'd love to hear from you!
As a dog groomer at River Paws, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Providing professional grooming services, such as bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trimming, and ear cleaning.

4. Communicating with clients to understand their grooming preferences and requirements, ensuring satisfaction with services provided.
5. Monitoring the health and well-being of dogs in your care, identifying and reporting any signs of illness or distress.
6. Maintaining accurate records of grooming services provided and updating client information as needed.
7. Collaborating with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
To be considered for the dog groomer position, you should have the following qualifications:
1. Professional grooming certification or equivalent experience (preferred).
2. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in dog grooming.
3. Strong knowledge of various dog breeds, grooming styles, and techniques.
