Job Posting for Dance Instructor for ages 2-11 at River Rhythms Dance Center
We are looking to a hire a passionate dance instructor to join our dance family! You will be responsible for leading and teaching ages 2-11. In our toddler, preschool, kinder, petite, and junior classes, the instructor must create a fun and energetic environment for the students. Depending on the level, we are looking for someone who will teach basic ballet, tap, and jazz styles. Any other style is a plus! The teacher’s job is to ensure that students are engaged, motivated, and inspired to achieve their dance goals!
Responsibilities:
- Ability to teach using various dance styles and techniques for beginner levels
- With the use of our core curriculum, prepare lesson plans to effectively teach and create a fun and creative environment
- Ability to collaborate with other teachers, students, and parents
- Engage and motivate students to reach their goals
- Choreograph routines and select appropriate music for recital/ competitive preformances
- Evaluate student performances to make accurate recommendations for improvements
- Effectively communicate with parents according to studio administration
- Willingness to be flexible with studio coverage as requested
Requirements:
- 1 year previous teaching experience required
- 8 or more years dance training
- Flexibility to work Monday through Thursday
- Excellent communication skills
- Dependable, driven, creative and adaptable
- Demonstrate patience and leadership skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 12 per week

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Dance teaching: 1 year (Required)
