Job Responsibilities : To support all aspects of RVCC#s Mission statement # clientele To perform a variety of general and preventive maintenance tasks including painting, cleaning, and landscaping.
To advise the supervisor of any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions To receive assignments and work orders and to review work orders, priority status, and designated time schedules.
To perform safety checks and / or tests of agency equipment as necessary or scheduled, to document the same, and to update appropriate records.
To care for and maintain department supplies, equipment, and work areas in an orderly, clean, and safe manner and to report defective or malfunctioning equipment or supplies to supervisors.
To assemble, move, or install office and agency furnishings, fixtures, and equipment.# To assist with agency grounds, and parking lot maintenance, including snow removal, as assigned or directed.
To operate agency vehicles as assigned. To assist with special projects / programs, as assigned # Job Requirements : Education Level -#High school or trade school graduate, or have a GED.
- Years of Experience -#At least 1-2 years# Experience in large facilities or machine maintenance or related experience Skills / Abilities -#Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to follow specifications and manufacturers# repair manuals;
- ability to work without supervision; analytical skills; computer literacy;#familiarity with codes and regulations; hearing and vision skills sufficient to meet Department of Transportation requirements for safely driving a motor vehicle and to perform other duties;
ability to handle multiple tasks. Licensing -#Current Massachusetts Driver#s License and having a satisfactory report from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Detailed Driving History Record.
