Summary: The Director of Cage and Credit is responsible for the overall operations of the Cage and Count Team Departments. Actively promotes an environment conducive to high quality customer engagement, and performs all duties while meeting Rush Street Fundamentals.
Essential Job Functions:
Oversees the cage, satellite cage, credit and count room operations.
Ensures all departmental and company policies and procedures are followed.
Ensures proper security and accountability of company funds is enforced by all cage and count team members.
Ensures that any unusual circumstances will be researched, documented and notified to management and/or surveillance or gaming board when necessary
Manages table games related activities, including markers and chip inventory.
Ability to set priorities, plan and coordinate work activities, and obtain and manage resources so that work objectives are accomplished efficiently and effectively
Conducts frequent team member meetings with the cage leadership team to review and discuss various policies and procedures, address problems and concerns, and as a tool in building teamwork.
Investigates and resolves team member and customer issues.
Interfaces with other department’s management
Coordinates with vendor and business partners to ensure equipment and services meet department standards
Ensures staffing is adequate to provide superior guest service and maintain controls.
Ensures the balancing and minor maintenance of ticket redemption machines.
Distributes appropriate information, updates, or changes to the team
Provides leadership, communication, motivation and guidance necessary to empower cage leadership to make correct, real time decisions.
Display a thorough knowledge of all Title 31 and New York State Gaming Regulations and ensures department compliance.
Oversees credit activities including processing credit applications, access to sensitive information and collection of delinquent accounts.
Manages the pickup and count of gaming cash in accordance with regulations.
Ensures compliance with regulatory controls both internal and external including but not limited to state and federal laws and the New York State Gaming Commission regulations.
Hires, trains, and manages staff in accordance with organizational and approved departmental standards, policies and programs.
Maintains guidelines to sustain a highly energized culture, engaged and enthusiastic work environment.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Five or more years’ experience in the Cage and Credit function, with at least three years in a supervisory capacity.
Bachelor degree in Business or Accounting preferred
Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills, and a proficiency with computers.
The ability to motivate staff through a teamwork approach.
Proven leadership skills that include delegating as needed.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, weekends and holidays.
Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
Physical and Mental Demands:
Regularly required to see, talk, hear, sit and use hands to finger, handle or feel.
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Able to interact with others while maintaining a positive and courteous demeanor.
