Technicians are integral members of the organization’s community as they work to support the Elite Casino Resorts mission and vision. They provide services necessary for a high quality technology experience to board members, employees, vendors, and guests. Technicians are expected to adhere to ethical standards of professional conduct and act in a manner consistent with the organization’s code of business ethics including but not limited to maintaining confidentiality, excellence, integrity, respect, responsibility, and trustworthiness. Technicians are accountable for using best business practices to administer and support our organization's network and systems typical to the entertainment and hospitality industry with outstanding customer service skills. The Technician position differentiates itself from the other positions by demonstrated abilities, years of experience, education, and certifications.
Essential Functions:
Technicians set-up, operate, and troubleshoot all audio visual, projection, lighting, telephone and conferencing equipment, digital signage and television systems as well as devices and equipment for events.
Technicians work with banquet and event team members to deliver all applicable technologies requested. They will additionally break-down, remove, and secure all equipment when not in use.
Technicians will actively monitor Banquet Event Orders, address event requests for support, respond to inquiries about events, and seek to improve the delivery of requested technologies.
Technicians will work with their teammates to support the availability of technology requested and delivered as appropriate intervals before, during and after the event.
Technicians will deliver technology using great people skills so they are able to communicate with the ability to listen and understand what the customer is trying to achieve while remaining approachable. When appropriate, technicians may upsell additional technologies for an event.
Technicians will plan, coordinate, and implement security measures within the constraints of our highly regulated environment when delivering technology solutions. Technicians will be proficient in taping down and dressing all loose cables and event wiring as appropriate at a luxury resort.
Technicians will administer and/or assist event services staff to deliver various formats of media including text, pictures, music, sound, videos/movies, recordings, animations, communications, connectivity, and more. The Event Technology industry is ever-changing as will be the solutions Technicians provide to Events. Under the direction of the Technology Manager, Technicians must demonstrate the aptitude to document and implement processes to increase efficiency, productivity, reliability and scalability with attention to minimizing or eliminating risk and staying compliant.
Technicians will ensure all equipment related to events is fully operational. They will repair and clean equipment as needed or seek replacement through the proper department process. They will keep their teammates informed of equipment status and availability.
Technicians demonstrate the ability to work under pressure both behind the scenes and in front of guests, follow specific directions, adapting quickly to changing conditions, continually evolve by acquiring further knowledge, skills, problem solving techniques, use of sound judgment, concentration for long periods of time, as well as speaking professionally and interacting intelligently at an appropriate technical level for the audience being addressed.
Technicians will work a schedule that coincides with events and entertainment.
Technicians excel in their ability to work independently while staying alert for opportunities to add value and assist teammates
Technicians are detail oriented and double check their work for quality. They often take the initiative to improve.
Technicians may travel to other Elite Casino Resorts for training and event support as needed.
Technicians perform their duties with little or no supervision.
Required:
Basic preparation and hands-on experience is needed.
A minimum 1 years of work-related hands-on skill and knowledge
A minimum 1 years of experience in business environment.
CCNA, MSCE, MCP, and/or DVEP certifications a plus.
Gaming experience a plus.
2 years college or technical training from accredited educational institution a plus.
This job involves coordinating, leading, indirectly supervising, and training others.
