General Handyman

We are seeking a skilled General Handyman who is experienced and able to perform: demo, framing, trim, installation of doors and windows, drywall repairs, painting, staining, roofing, siding, flooring, and other basic handyman-type tasks. Additional helpful skills include: minor HVAC, minor Electrical and minor Plumbing. Applicant must have a strong desire to succeed in the residential & light commercial "fix-it" industry by providing exceptional service to our clients in the following areas:

Soft skills:

• Shows initiative at all times AND works with urgency.

• Problem solver, able to think outside the box to provide solutions for clients.

• Maintains a positive, friendly attitude.

• Communicates clearly with others.

• Complete daily documentation.

• Create estimates with estimating software.

Hard skills:

• Perform handyman / fix-it tasks at the highest level with minimal direct supervision.

• Perform rough and finish carpentry to company’s standard according to work order specifications.

• Install interior millwork items such as: pre-hung doors, window units, interior trim, base, casing, crown molding and cabinetry.

• Repair and/or installation of new drywall; including finishing.

• Repair and/or installation of siding and roofing.

• Repair and/or installation of new windows and doors.

• Paint and stain with no drips, sags, spills or slopping.

• Light plumbing and electric skills: (change faucets and lighting)

• Provide assistance & training to apprentice handyman as required; receive training with good attitude if needed.

• Maintain a safe and clean jobsite and work vehicle.

Must have proven experience in skilled areas listed, strong communication skills, valid Driver’s License, and ability to perform physically demanding work on a consistent basis, including lifting 100 pounds.
