EMPLOYER: Riverside Energy Michigan LLC (REM) is an independent, growth-oriented company engaged in the exploration, operation, and development of oil and natural gas assets. REM is looking for a Pipeline Compliance Coordinator to join our Production & Engineering team, supporting our Field Operations. The Pipeline Compliance Coordinator will work either at the company’s main office in Traverse City, MI or field office in Gaylord, MI. This position may work from home occasionally, however there is a requirement to perform in-office work. There may also be a need to witness work performed in the field. Company pool cars are available for travel in between the two office locations, and field locations, as business needs require. 


DEPARTMENT: Operations – Production and Engineering  


COMPENSATION: $60,000 to $70,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience


RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Pipeline Compliance Coordinator works closely with field operations, engineering, and safety to ensure compliance. They support all aspects of compliance with a high degree of accuracy. Responsibilities may include but not limited to: 


  • Working knowledge of 49 CFR Part 191 and 192 federal pipeline rules as they relate to gathering and transmission lines.
  • Understand state and federal pipeline rules and regulations to assist in managing company Operations, Maintenance and Emergency program including Integrity Management.
  • Ensure company compliance with federal, state and local pipeline requirements by studying existing and new legislation and advise management of any needed actions
  • Manage preparation, completion and timely filing of regulatory and compliance reports and documents.
  • Coordinate with government agencies during general requests and audits; prepare audit data by compiling and analyzing internal and external information and monitor audit process to completion.
  • Identify and evaluate new projects against regulatory requirements.
  • Gather information on pipeline leaks or incidents for further reporting.
  • Develop and maintain tracking tools needed to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare reports for management as needed.
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of compliance controls, compliance procedures and operational processes.
  • Help promote the organization’s reputation by maintaining compliance.
  • Assist with related special projects or related duties as required or assigned by management.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent and one to five years relevant administrative experience; bachelor's degree preferred but not required, especially if you have oil & gas compliance experience. 
  • Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office 365 products – Outlook, Word and Excel required.
  • Proficiency in data entry and using internet for research required.
  • Ability to calculate accurate figures and amounts; strong problem-solving and data analytical skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards, with acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.  
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions with an eagerness to learn new things. 
  • Strong organizational skills; able to prioritize and follow through consistently with changing priorities.
  • Current and valid drivers license required - using a company pool vehicle, this position may need to drive between our 2 offices - Traverse City & Gaylord, and to field locations, as business needs require.

Reports to: Senior Compliance Coordinator

Schedule: 10/80 (Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day) or 9/80 (Monday – Thursday 9 hours/day and every other Friday 8 hours/day, with the other Friday off) *Please note, during training, you will work the same schedule as the Senior Compliance Coordinator 



Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
